Dr. Richa Rikhy is Professor at IISER, Pune. She did her Bachelor’s in Lifesciences and Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College Mumbai, India. She did Master’s in Science from M.S. University Baroda, India and obtained her PhD in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India.
Dr. Richa has worked on the mechanisms involved in synaptic vesicle recycling with K.S. Krishnan and did her post-doc with Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz at Bethesda, NIH, USA where she worked on elucidating the role of membrane trafficking in plasma membrane polarity and compartmentalization in the Drosophila embryo. At IISER, Pune, Dr. Richa Rikhy’s group is interested in questions of morphogenesis and differentiation during organism development. She has many publications to her credit in journals of International repute.
